
My friend Sarah who is now an author was going to publish her poetry book "Pathways of Life". She asked me to bake a cake for the launching ceremony. Since this was about book publishing, I thought this open book cake would be ideal for the occasion. I made her a chocolate cake and decorated it fondant icing and used marzipan to make the roses! A piece of matching ribbon was also used as a book marker. The end result was quite astonishing! Not to mention how yummy the cake was!!!
